Reporting directly to the VP of Finance and dotted-line to the Global Project Controller, the IEM Sales Project Controller works independently and collaboratively to perform the following essential duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Serve a critical role as the primary liaison between Finance, Sales and our Partner and Product Management team to drive visibility, analysis and management of client and event project budgets
  • Drive the design and implementation of key controls, systems and tools to ensure adequate visibility, effective management, and accurate forecasting and reporting for TEA’s local and global projects
  • Develop and roll out templates and processes to build client project budgets based on project scope and contracts, capture and track project budgets versus actuals
  • Develop, update, and monitor individual project schedules, budgets and estimates of completion from proposal through work completion in conjunction with project team members
  • Support the following in accordance with global company standards: development of project work breakdown structures, budgets, creating resource loaded schedules, maintaining schedule status, and creating progress and financial reports, and other cost and schedule data that may be required
  • Review schedule, progress and productivity of projects (including subcontractors), monitor and verify monthly costs, support PMs with cost and schedule variance analysis, forecasting estimates of completion, change order management and control
  • Prepare monthly project progress summary reports, including updated cost reports and schedules and determine percentage of completion
  • Attend progress meetings with project management, and subcontractors to review project status including cost and schedule status within the context of the overall project status
  • Provide pricing support for development of proposals for new contracts and projects, ensuring the correct application contract pricing requirements, and that correct direct, indirect, and other rates and labor categories are used in proposals, coordinating correct application of rates with Project Managers as necessary, entering proposal data into spreadsheets, checking proposals for consistency with SOW
  • Assist Project Managers to resolve payment or labor charging discrepancies detected on review of Project Status Reports
  • Assist Project Managers to obtain various project reports
  • Maintain project information including the initial set up, budgets, modifications, change orders, and project close-out
  • Provide Finance/Accounting support with annual budgeting process and monthly revenue forecasts based on updated cost and schedules
  • Develop and deliver training to team members on how to create, track, and manage project budgets

  • Keep abreast of changes in area(s) of expertise and responsibility via participation in ongoing professional development and training as determined in collaboration with primary supervisor and Human Resources team

Must haves:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • 3 or more years of progressive experience as a financial analyst, project analyst and/or training with cost controls (budgets, comparisons of actuals to plan, validation of forecasts, variance analysis, cost to complete, and percentage of completion) is required
  • Solid understanding of data management: data extraction, compilation and reporting at different levels of granularity
  • Experience dealing with global projects, currencies, intercompany accounting required
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel is required
  • Highly organized, with a proven record of effective management of budgets, staffing and scheduling
  • Strong management skills and ability to collaborate, work effectively with teams from multiple functions and cultures
  • Experience working in esports entertainment, broadcasting or other entertainment industry is required
  • Able to manage multiple, concurrent projects in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
